NEW YORK

Had been dying to write this blog post for so long!! Finally got around to it, I made it my mission to try a new restaurant once a week and I think I can officially call myself a restaurant critic - not all restaurants made the list but the truly tasty ones did, I am proud to say that I have a drool worthy list to share with you guys- they are fricken' delicious!

To make it easier for you guys I split the restaurants into Brunch and Lunch/Dinner Spots!

BRUNCH SPOTS

Sadelle's

This restaurant is my all time favorite in NY!!! It is a must must must, everything they serve is so fresh, they are literally slicing the salmon at the restaurant daily and the bagel are homemade!! It's so good that my last few days I went 4 times in 10 days!

The Sadelle's Tower is a must with bagels on the side and the Leo Omelette is to die for. For desert you have to get the FRENCH TOAST! Do not leave without trying it, if you think you don't have enough space for it, think again... you will want to order more of it one you take the first bite.

Sunday In Brooklyn

I love everything about this place even the ceramic plates and mugs are gorgeous! The food is so good, perfect to go with friends and family and have a glass of wine on the weekend! The Egg and Sausage Sandwhich is deliciousss, probably the best one we tried, the Quinoa & Lentil Bowl is so delicious with avocado and a poached egg and I added the blackened cod on the side- do it, it's amazing!! The almond latte is worth ordering too!!

Joseph Leonard

This place has a special place in my heart!! It was out neighborhood breakfast spot, literally a block away from our apartment! It is so cozy and delicious no wonder it is always packed, on weekend expect a wait for sure! I am not a big fan of coffee but this place has the best almond latte I have ever tried.

On to the important part... the food is AmAzinggggg, I always ordered the Omelette and depending on the season it would be served with maitake mushrooms or sautéed spinach, omg amazing. My husband loved that one as well but he would also get Saucisson A L' Ail which has pork and garlic sausage, fried eggs, hashbrown, crème fraîche, arugula! And you have to get the Siracha Brussel Sprout Side!

Balthazar

The vibe here is so chic and elegant, there is a bustling ambiance that makes you want to order a champagne as soon as you walk in!

Casa Enrique

You will find authentically great Mexican food!

Butcher's Daughter

I would 100% definitely recommend this spot for a weekend brunch! I went here so many times while I lived in NY and I can not believe I do not have pictures of the food! Pleaseee go and see it for yourself! Soooooo good!

ABC Kitchen and V

Such a classy and chic restaurant chain, they also have Abc Cocina, personally I prefer these two! The food and drinks are amazing and the interior design is insane, even the bathrooms are on point! Don't forget to check out their Carpet and Home store!

Bluestone Lane

Each plate is so instagramable and on top of that is delishes! The shakshuka is amazing and the banana bread is so delicious!!!

Coco and Cru

Healthy Australian restaurant! Love this place every plate is full of veggies and perfectly balanced for a filling meal! There Turmeric Latte is my favorite!!

Le Coucou

If you are feeling fancy, check this place out!! You could go for brunch or dinner, when I went for brunch we were to choose a 2 course meal and it was surprisingly incredible!

Buvette

Very traditional french breakfast spot, cosy and delicious!

Juice Generation

The Almond Butter Acai Bowl. Not much more to say, it is the best Acai Bow EVER. And the topped granola is soooo delishh.

LUNCH | DINNER SPOTS

Japanese

Sugarfish

I was probably the most frequent customer at this sushi, I went at least once a week if not twice. I would take anyone that had not been before or even go by myself to have lunch or dinner at the bar. The quality of the fish is outstanding, literally doesn't even compare to sushi places in NY that cost you $300+. This sushi melts in your mouth it is so good.

Order the Nozawa Trust Me. You will not regret it! *or just any Trust Me, just the Nozawa is the biggest and I can have like two rounds of it! jajaja

KazuNori

The sister restaurant of SugarFish but it serves only Handrolls! Better bang for your buck and the hand rolls are crisp and freshly made!

Tetsu

Pretty pricy but sooo delicious!!

Momoya

Only takes walk

Bondst.

Beyond Sushi

Beyond Sushi offers a healthy and fresh approach to vegan and vegetarian sushi. Their Fun-Guy Dumplings are amazing and we got the Mighty Shroom, the Green Machine and the Spicy Mang rolls! Leave room for dessert bc their Black Bean Sweet Potato Brownie is amazingly delicious!!!!

Greek

Milos

One of my favorite restaurants ever. You can find Milos in many places but its a basic for me, the octopus and greek salad for starters always and then the fish cooked in salt is the best thing ever.

Kikis

Very delicious authentic greek spot- the best part is that it is so affordable, especially in NY! The place is the cutest and upbeat! Great to get drinks and a good meal! The downside is they sell no hard liquor, but it is so worth going to for a beer or wine and have great food!

Pylos

Avra

Shuka

Italian

Marea

This is place is perfect for a date night or a night out with the parents! It is Italian/seafood and the spaghetti with octopus and bone marrow is a must!

I sodi

The lasagna, nuf said. But seriously, use Resy to set alerts for when you want a reservation. They will email you when a spot is open, I did this for every time I went, never let me down- easily went once a month. Walk in could also work, but if you are looking for a table at the bar for 2!

Ok and the Cacio and Pepe is amazing too! The menu is small but there is something about small menus that I love, it gives me a feeling that the place is really specialized and has thought out every plate they serve! This place is perfect for smaller groups and an amazing meal!

L’Artusi

Just on the opposite side of the street from I Sodi, this place has more of a variety menu and has the place is so cool with a vibe. Definitely worth ordering a bottle of wine and having an amazing meal! This place is good for bigger parties like for 4, 6 or even 8!

Carbone

Try booking a month in advance, the reservations here are insane! That how good it is!

Babbo

Babbo is a celebrated Italian restaurant in the heart of Greenwich Village. Such a cozy and quiet place perfect for a date night- it is literally a carriage house transformed into a restaurant! So many delicous pastas and antipastas although I always end up getting a fish! jaja

Others

Aquagrill

My husband and I fell completely head over heals for this spot. We are both seafood lovers and honestly the seafood here is the freshest and prepared deliciously! This was always are go to spot and we would always end up ordering the same thing... and never failed us! For starters the Seafood Platter is to die for, the Tuna Tartare is a must and my husband loves Crab Cakes! And literally all entrees are amazing!

ABC Kitchen / V / Cocina

All amazing, all worth trying!!

Indochine

This is a French Vietnamese restuarant, at first I was skeptical because I had never tried French Vietnamese food but it is soooo good! And the ambiance is so cool and perfect for a Weekend night with friends to have amazing food and drinks!

Perry St.

Double Zero

Vegan Pizzas, ridiculously delicious!!! Order the Spicy Marinara Arrabbiata (pictured top left) and the Eggplant bacon (pictured bottom right). The Truffle Cashew Cream and White Pizza Roasted Corn are my two other favorites!! And the Antipasto Salad is delicious!!

XYST

If anything, get the falafels, the cauliflower and the brownie for dessert!!

Le Botaniste

Fell in love with this place the first time I tried it becuase of its original flavors and homey ambiance! Homey, apothecary-inspired counter serve for vegan, organic bowls & juices & natural wines

Cosme

Sleek Mexican spot with a big bar for locally sourced share plates, plus tequila & mezcal cocktails. The food is known for being a bit on the heavier side- like heavy meat dishes so I opted for going for brunch! Everything we ordered was fabulous, so delicious and full of flavor. Of course the Chilaquiles were the best!

Indian Accents

Authentic Indian food!! Originally from New Delhi! The food is to die for!

Catch, Beauty and Essex,  ACME, Dirty French, Bibliotheque, La Felix

Fusion restaurants, perfect for a party night out or a pregame dinner spot! The food at these places is solid good, but definitely would go for the upbeat ambiance rather than for an amazing meal.

Pressed Juicery

Guilt Free frozen dessert free from dairy, processed sugar and other chemical-laden ingredients- a vegan soft serve made from real fruits, nuts and vegetables. Only ingredients are Water, Dates, Almonds, Cacao and Sea Salt.

Wolfer Estate

Last but not least! Coming full circle because this was our first get away when we first arrived to NY. We decided on a whim to go to the Hamptons and I planned the weekend there and the best decision yet was deciding to go to this Vineyard!

The ambiance, the vineyard view, the WINE and cheese boards are to die for. If you get a chance to go to the Hamptons, this place is a must.
