Creamy Almond Butter
There was definitely a learning curve to this recipe… had tried making it a couple of years ago in a blender and it never worked just simply gave up. Then yesterday I gave it a shot because now I have a food processor so why wouldn’t it work.. right?… wrong! The almonds did become into a fine almond flour but never became a creamy butter. I emptied the flour, placed it in a baking sheet and baked the flour for 20 minutes, re blended and it became creamy finallyy!!!!
On my third try this recipe worked perfectly… here it is!!
Homemade Creamy Almond Butter
Ingredients:
2 cups almonds
Food processor
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Spread 2 cups of almonds on a baking sheet and roast for 15 minutes. (NOTE: Check the almonds at 10 minutes)
Pour 2 cups of roasted almonds in a food processor and let it run for about 5-10 minutes until desired smoothness.
You will most likely have to stop the food processor and scrap the sides once or twice in order for the almond to continue to churn in the processor.
Store in an airtight mason jar and enjoy!!!
